About Us
Overture Band Programs, Inc. was established in 2004 as a Wisconsin 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to provide band programs to private and parochial schools in Dane County Wisconsin that would otherwise be unable to provide instrumental music instruction to their students. In 2008 we extended our services to include home-schooled students. We are dedicated to providing quality instrumental music instruction and rewarding educational opportunities to the students we serve.
Schools interested in offering Overture Band Programs' services to their students enter into a contract with us. We hire state licensed instrumental music educators or qualified music educators that meet our experience requirements. Our teachers recruit students in grades 4 – 12 to join band at the beginning of each school year. Parents pay a “band tuition” to Overture to have their child/ren participate in the band program.
Teachers provide weekly group band rehearsals and semi-private lessons, teaching students all aspects of playing their musical instrument, preparing them for two concerts per year, as well as providing other musical opportunities including Honor Band, Jazz Band, Solo & Ensembles Festival, and Summer Lessons.
