Setting the Standards for Life Learning
A non-profit organization providing band programs to private and parochial schools and home-schooled students
Learning to play a musical instrument and playing music builds creativity, self-expression, self-confidence, and a sense of accomplishment and enjoyment.
Music allows us to communicate and feel when there are no words to express ourselves and our emotions.
Being part of a band is a social experience that builds friendships, cooperation, team spirit, and the sense of belonging.

Band & covid update
~ 4 August 2021 ~
In Person Band & Lessons: As of July 13, 2021, all of the schools that provide band to their students through Overture Band Programs have indicated that it is their plan to have band held in person at their school for the 2021-22 school year.
Safety Guidelines and Protocols: It is our goal to provide the safest environment for your children while they are in our band program. Our teachers will follow current Covid guidelines and protocol of the schools at which they teach, as well as guidelines and protocol established by Overture Band Programs, based on the guidelines from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), Department of Health Services (DHS), Public Health Madison & Dane County (PHMDC), the Department of Public Instruction (DPI), and the Wisconsin School Music Association (WSMA) regarding playing a band instrument during the 2021-22 school year. Click here to see the list of the safety measures and protocol our band teachers will be following.
Virtual lessons: It is our goal to have band and lessons be an in person experience. Our teachers will be at school teaching during the school day. They will not be available to give virtual lessons until they get home in the evening and on the weekends. Virtual lessons may be scheduled with your band teacher on a case by case situation and/or for extenuating circumstances. Video lessons will be scheduled using Zoom or Google Meet. Contact your band teacher if you have questions.
Band Registration Forms were mailed in mid-July to families who had students in band last year (2020-21)and the year before (2019-20).
Registrations are due by the first day of band.
Families of 4th & 5th grade students and new beginners will receive information about band from their school's band director during the first two weeks of school. After last year's extremely low numbers due to Covid and a virtual band program, we will be working hard this year to rebuild the band programs at our schools.
New band students will have until September 24th to get registered.
*** We are not set up to take registrations or payments on-line. You must send your registration form and payment by mail to our address listed on the registration form.
